Ferguson Metals Announces Building Expansion
Hamilton, OH - June 10th, 2004. Hamilton based Ferguson Metals, a leading supplier of specialty stainless steel and high temperature alloys, recently announced plans for expansion. "The continued growth of our business has us splitting at the seams. Additional space is required not only to accommodate our current level of business, but also to support our plans for continued growth," commented company president, Wayne Ferguson.
Plans call for the addition of 38,800 square feet to the existing 63,000 square foot structure located at 3475 Symmes Road, bringing Ferguson's total square footage to 101,800. Advanced Buildings has been awarded the contract and is set to break ground on the project early in July. Completion of the project is expected by late November of 2005.
Ferguson Metal's Director of Operations & Quality, Bob Vogel, commented, "In addition to relieving congestion, the space will allow us to realize increased efficiency on our production floor. This includes the implementation of changes related to safety and decreased costs that have resulted from the Lean Manufacturing events we have hosted over the past year."
