Ferguson Metals Wins Ohio Partnership for Excellence "Achievement of Excellence" Award

Hamilton, OH - April 10, 2006. In an April 6th press release, the Ohio Partnership for Excellence (OPE) recognized Ferguson Metals as a recipient of the "Achievement of Excellence" Award. This advanced level of recognition acknowledges Ferguson's efforts in "demonstrating through commitment and practice, significant progress toward excellence".

President H. Wayne Ferguson comments, "Since being recognized in 2004 with the Commitment to Excellence Award, we have implemented concepts like Lean Manufacturing which have been key factors in our continued improvement. Employees are taking ownership and have a vested interest in Ferguson Metals' success. I am pleased that the Ohio Partnership for Excellence has recognized the efforts of all our employees, and we are proud to accept the prestigious Achievement of Excellence Award."

Ferguson Metals submitted an extensive application, while members of the OPE Board followed up with a site visit to evaluate the company in the following criteria: quality processes, leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, information and analysis, workforce development, and overall achievement of results. The Achievement of Excellence Award will be formally presented to Ferguson Metals at the OPE's 2006 Quest for Success Conference in Columbus, Ohio on September 14th-15th.
